The last full week of March brings in more Spring weather and the end of my Intro to Lit class. This also gives me a week’s vacation from school to decompress a bit. Not the day job though, still have to show up there daily. But it will be nice to be able to breathe for a little bit. Or get that semblance of a deep breathe.

I still am working on my book in my off hours. There aren’t many during the month when I am working on homework and going to my day job. So, that leaves this next week. I am hoping to pop out a couple of chapters at minimum during this downtime. We all know how that works though. We go in with the best of intentions and at the end wonder how it became such a mess.

I have already had name issues with my MMC, and needed to re-edit his name and some of the story surrounding his history because of it. I have only gotten 15 chapters in. I can’t even imagine how many more chapters there are. I was hoping that the book wouldn’t be long, but I am now thinking there might be around 100K words, which is 30K more than I thought originally. All of this, and I haven’t even had the chance to figure out how I am going to write my climax, I just know how I want it to feel. UGH.

Here’s to trucking ahead and getting to that literary climax.
